These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Makrosas ("the app", "we", "our"), a calorie and nutrition tracking application. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms.

1. Important Disclaimer

We are not professional nutritionists, dietitians, doctors, or healthcare providers. Makrosas is a self-tracking tool that provides general informational guidance to help you monitor your nutrition. It is not a substitute for professional medical or dietary advice.

  • All information provided by the app, including AI-generated content (food recognition, macro estimates, nutrition insights, coaching messages, analytics), is for general informational and educational purposes only.
  • Nutritional values, calorie estimates, and AI suggestions may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for your specific situation.
  • The app does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition.
  • All decisions you make based on the app are entirely your own choice and responsibility. We provide guidance and tools - what you do with them is up to you.
  • Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making significant dietary changes, especially if you have medical conditions, allergies, eating disorders, or are taking medication.

2. The Service

Makrosas is a nutrition tracking app that helps you log food, track macronutrients, and receive AI-powered nutrition insights. The app is available as a web application (PWA) and on mobile platforms.

3. Account

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
  • You may delete your account at any time, which permanently removes all your data.

4. Subscription

  • Some features require a paid subscription.
  • Subscription prices are displayed before purchase.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
  • You may cancel at any time through your app store (Apple App Store or Google Play) or through the app.
  • Refunds are handled according to the policies of the respective app store.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the app for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app.
  • Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the service.

6. Intellectual Property

The app, its design, code, and content are owned by the operator of Makrosas. Your food logs and personal data remain yours - we do not claim ownership of your data.

7. Availability

We strive to keep the app available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or changes to the service at any time.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

  • Inaccuracies in nutritional information or AI-generated content.
  • Health outcomes or dietary decisions made based on information from the app.
  • Any consequences of following or not following suggestions provided by the app.
  • Data loss due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the app.

You use the app at your own risk. The information provided is guidance only - it is always your choice whether to act on it.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Lithuania, without prejudice to your rights under EU consumer protection law to bring proceedings in your country of residence.

12. Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under EU law, including your right to a 14-day withdrawal period for online purchases and your rights under the EU Consumer Rights Directive.
